Homeplug NetworkingHomeplug networking uses the existing electrical wiring around your home to create a network that is capable of being used by multiple computers. If your wireless or conventional broadband connection is terminated in an inconvenient location, or you simply want to add extra computers, they are an ideal way of distributing the signal around a building, without the potential hassle of trying to use wireless to enable the entire home. They will even connect outhouses, workshops etc - the only restriction being that all units must be on the same electricity meter, and the range is limited to approximately 100m of wiring circuit. With the addition of a wireless Homeplug, you can have access for a laptop, for example, in any room you choose. Simply plug the unit into an electrical outlet, and connect! click on the diagram to see a larger version. |
